Jon Frank - Executive Coach

Jon Frank is a former CEO, Harvard MBA, Juris Doctor, certified mediator, and Northwestern University-certified executive coach.

    About Jon Frank

For nearly two decades, Jon has built companies across industries and continents, while guiding executives through their toughest challenges. Across all those roles, coaching emerged as his natural superpower—and today it anchors his practice.

Jon's credentials include rigorous academic training—Brown University with honors, Harvard MBA, and a JD from Chicago-Kent College of Law, which he completed while simultaneously leading an 80-employee organization. He later earned Northwestern coaching certification, holds the International Coaching Federation's ACC credential (ICF ACC), and was appointed as a certified mediator for Cook County Circuit Court in Chicago, IL.

His business leadership experience spans two strategic exits. He first scaled an education platform from startup to 90+ team members across 42 offices globally, then transformed a real estate operation from sub-100 annual transactions to 100+ monthly acquisitions before his exit in 2025.

Today, Jon's coaching practice centers on working with senior executives navigating complex leadership challenges—from C-suite transitions and organizational restructuring to high-stakes negotiations and board dynamics.

    Areas of Expertise

Jon has spent the last 18 years of his career launching, growing, and exiting from businesses that he's led. He knows what it takes "to CEO."

    Coaching and Consulting

Jon founded his first coaching and consulting company in 2007, Admissionado. Initially a two-man show, the company grew quickly, and internationally—by 2015 Admissionado's products were being sold by over 90 team members, across 42 offices worldwide. The company mentored more than 3,500 students globally, and the clients that Jon mentored personally have since gone on to work at leading firms across the world, including at Intel, Apple, Google, and others. Jon successfully negotiated his exit from the company in 2017.

    Real Estate

Jon has worked in real estate since graduating from college in 1999. He currently owns a portfolio of multifamily properties in Chicago, and he has worked as an executive at firms such as Trammell Crow Residential and Village Green. Most recently, Jon served as CEO of one of the country's leading SFR real estate firms, owning and managing over 2,000 homes across nine offices countrywide. Under Jon's leadership, and prior to his exit in 2025, the company grew from fewer than 100 homes to the acquisitions engine that purchased up to 100 homes monthly—nearly $18 million in monthly volume.

    International Business

Jon moved to China to launch his consulting company in 2011. There, he founded his first international office in Chengdu, China, before opening his second office in China (in Beijing) just six months later. Within 18 months, the company was selling its products, alongside its mainland Chinese partner, in 42 offices—including in Korea, Indonesia, and India to name a few. Jon knows first-hand the challenges inherent in doing business overseas; he has experienced those challenges, and solved the problems, first-hand.

    Coaching Approach

Jon's approach draws on both rigorous training and real-world experience. Most executive coaches come from HR or training backgrounds. They've been taught to ask great questions. But Jon brings something different; in addition to those skills, Jon brings guidance based on real leadership experience. Jon's approach is inherently practical: transforming challenges into actionable strategies.

Jon is wholly devoted to his clients. He believes that transformational coaching comes down to a trusting relationship—not one-size-fits-all playbooks or techniques. Once that relationship is in place, we work together to inspire and hone who you are—authentically—as a leader. Ultimately, the best leader you can be is the one that emerges authentically from you: distinct, genuine, and one of a kind.

When leaders operate from their authentic core, the person and the leadership role come together. That alignment not only promotes comfort (even enjoyment!) at work—it also drives success. Jon's coaching approach revolves around helping clients bring forward their own authentic talents, and putting them to work.

I almost always find myself filtering what I share, and how much. Having Jon as both confidant and intellectual sparring partner was invaluable. He provided the honest feedback and strategic thinking that was so hard to come by in the C-suite, just what I needed to make sharper decisions.

I walked into my last two meetings with Jon a mess, facing a handful of executive meetings that would literally determine the trajectory of my career at the company. I came out of the sessions with a crisp plan, and the meetings themselves went perfectly. I was prepared, and honestly I nailed it! The coaching process is truly a game changer.
